Our Food and Drink

How many times have you left the beaten track in France, Italy, Spain or other countries abroad, and chanced upon a tucked-away eatery which offers you fresh home cooking from local ingredients and delivers a memorable meal at an affordable price. You then drive away wondering why such places are so hard to find back home in Blighty.

The Dyke’s End at Reach takes its inspiration from such experiences and its owners and chefs work hard to offer their guests some of the best food in the area for the best value for money.

Our menus change as different produce and game come into season but they always include some pub standbys, such as local sausage and mash, excellent fish and chips, and Parisian steak-frites.

We gladly cater for vegetarians and for those with food intolerances.

Our Sunday lunches are almost always fully booked by the weekend so you are well advised to reserve a table - in fact we always recommend that our guests phone to avoid disappointment.

The Devil’s Dyke at Reach's brewery (launched in 2007 to popular CAMRA acclaim) in part looks back to the days when the village brewed its own ales and chimes well with a pub that looks back to a time when pubs were an escape from the busy outside world.

To see our current menus please click on the links on the left side of this page but please also be aware that we are happy to cater for large or small parties with special menus.

We also have a recently refurbished upstairs room (picture above) which will comfortably accommodate up to 20 diners.

If you want to be kept informed of any news regarding the Dyke's End at Reach- including changes to our menus, please email us.
