Upstairs Room

After years of the upstairs dining room being something of an ‘overflow’ for the main bar areas, we have recently carried out a complete refurbishment.  Deliberately looking in another direction to ‘ye olde country pub’ the new space has an Edwardian grandeur about it with a contemporary feel.

Importantly, it not only offers a beautiful alternative to eating downstairs, but also doubles as a private dining room for parties of up to 30 guests.

As ever, we prefer to discuss your menu requirements in advance of your celebration, but Gordon Vincent, our chef, is delighted to welcome larger groups to enjoy our famous hospitality.

Simon, the landlord, who fancies himself as something of a style guru, is confidently predicting that the décor of his new room will mark the return to fashion of flock wallpaper.

We can provide either our normal menu or a more restricted party menu, to meet your needs.
